Azusa Ueno

Author

Dr. Azusa Ueno has a twenty-five-year career as a classical pianist. She has made concert appearances in New York City, Los Angeles, Connecticut, New Jersey, and internationally in Japan and the Czech Republic. Azusa attended the Manhattan School of Music, the Juilliard School, and Yale University. Her doctoral dissertation, an analysis of the life and works of American composer Charles Tomlinson Griffes, combined the disciplines of psychology and music. A sought-after lecturer, she has presented on Griffes, the piano works of Chopin and Debussy, and the history of 20th-century American music. Azusa is also an avid collaborative pianist and has performed the complete Schubert song cycles.
