Author

Jonah Pearl has over 10 years of experience in orchestral and choral performances. He played the oboe in the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras and participated in notable festivals such as Tanglewood and Domaine Forget. He played in ballet and opera pits, and the occasional Sondheim musical. He also sang with the Yale Glee Club as a bass, leading the section. Currently he is a member of the Washington Master Chorale. Jonah’s musical interests are diverse, ranging from Handel and Haydn to Lou Harrison and Caroline Shaw. When he is not writing about music, Jonah is a full-time researcher in biology.
